Imagine how wonderful it would feel to know that you are in peak physical condition and that you have the skills to defend yourself in a variety of self defense situations. Now imagine that same level of physical fitness and self defense ability for your child, wife, and family members. Come experience how martial arts training can provide you and your family with these substantial benefits!
Start the school year off right by helping your child gain confidence, goal setting skills, leadership skills, and the ability to handle bully and stranger situations.
Just imagine the joy you will experience as you watch your child progress through different levels of training...
***watching them perform martial arts techniques in front of a group with confidence, poise, and enthusiasm
***seeing an improvement in their attitude and behavior
***knowing that they will make the right choices in life because they understand the value of their future
At Orange Belt we started sparring on a weekly basis. The first time I sparred I got totally destroyed. It was good for me: I had to learn to control my emotions. I started teaching the little kids in my dojo as an Orange Belt, and soon after became involved in the USSD Instructors Academy. My wife and I became totally indoctrinated into the USSD Way. How to teach, what to teach, how to share our passion for the Martial Arts with other people: how to transfer our love of the Art to our teaching and thus to other students.
Around two months into my training I tested for and earned my yellow belt. When I say “test,” what I really mean is the hardest physical exam of my adult life. I had to compare it to my week of super strenuous hiking through the Philmont Scout Ranch as a Boy Scout. That was an endurance and mental fortitude test I had no intention of repeating. By this point my wife and I were practicing every night. We’d do front kicks and side kicks while sitting on the couch. We’d half-moon around the table and around the cats. We were sold for life.
